The Program
The Scott Technology Center incubator program actively engages the overall community of business and education resources in order to positively impact the entrepreneurial environment.
As a neutral entity, the Scott Technology Center Incubator calls upon high value contacts that can be leveraged to assist, invest in, team with, acquire, or advise incubator companies. The contacts include experienced entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, angel investors, CEOs and expertise in research & development.
In addition to the community resources, the incubator offers programs that encourage interaction whereby entrepreneurs gain from the experiences of those around them. Proximity to the Peter Kiewit Institute provides access to approximately 2,300 information technology and engineering students.
Start-up, Seed Stage and Emerging Growth companies are targets for the incubator admission. Scott Technology Center Incubator defines each as:
Start-up: limited operating history or newly created with activity in research & development for target markets.
Seed-stage: have yet to begin visible commercial operations, and may have initial early adopters along with ongoing research & development.
Emerging growth: have had visible commercial operations with limited history, are beginning to build a track record of success, and typically have low operating profitability.
