The Scott Technology Incubator program seeks to identify and support opportunities for the creation and development of emerging technologies by providing the tools and advantages critical for taking concepts to market. Benefits include subsidized space, technology infrastructure, business development and administrative support.
The program accepts executive summaries or business plans from incubator companies and focuses on:
- An innovative, technology-based product idea or business concept in areas of information technology or engineering technology with clear path to commercialization.
- Management and/or a product development team with relevant experience in target industry or prior entrepreneurial ventures.
- Strategy to access and defend significant share of target market.
- Realistic financial projections based on sound assumptions demonstrating cash flow growth.
- A product that is less than 18 months from market.
- A defined exit strategy.
Admission
Companies interested in applying for space within the incubator program should advance a business plan to include:
- A three-year financial plan.
- Competitive advantage i.e. intellectual property (non-proprietary), exclusive licenses, exclusive marketing or distribution.
- Resumes of the founders and management team.
- Download and complete the Incubator PowerPoint Presentation.
If a business plan is unavailable please provide a business concept summary. The summary should contain information including a description of the business, intellectual property overview (non proprietary), marketing strategy, management experience, and estimated financial performance projections and risks. Completion of the Incubator PowerPoint will be required at a later date.
Upon receipt of the requested material, the perspective company will be contacted for an initial meeting/presentation.
